CANDLE CARE
Lighting your candle
We want you to have the best experience with your Find Your Zen Candle, so read on to be sure you get the best burn!

When you light your candle for the first time, it's important to keep it burning, preferably for 2-3 hours, until the whole surface has melted.

Believe it or not wax has a 'memory', so letting the top melt means the wax won't tunnel’ i.e., leave wax around the edges/burn unevenly.
Each time you burn your candle try to keep it lit for a minimum of 1.5 to 2 hours. Never burn for more than 4 hours.
Light your candle in a well-ventilated area, where draughts and wind won’t disturb the flame. This will keep your flame nice and stable, allowing it to burn correctly and minimise sooting.

Trim your wick to 5mm and if it 'mushrooms' nip the top off. This helps control the size of the flame, so it doesn't burn too fast.

Extinguishing your candle

The safest way to extinguish your candle is to use a glass cloche or snuffer - blowing it out can cause some of the wick to drop into the wax and slightly damage the wick.

Remember...

Please do not leave candles unattended; place them away from drafts, children, and pets. Placed your candle on a heat-resistant base and set it on a level stable surface.

If soot forms inside the jar, extinguish the candle, wait for it
to cool, and wipe with a damp cloth. Trim the wick and light it again.
